Presumably Sellers has based his Hern accent in this show on one of the famous USA presenters (John Daly) because UK host at that time was Eamonn Andrews (Irish) [2] Eugene Goossens was a British-born musician and would have been known at the time for both being knighted and being expelled from Australia because of interesting photographs in his luggage.
